Let Them Be is a photographic collection capturing kids, being kids. Free from judgment, away from social pressure, alive with innocence, and bursting with raw and true expression.

I was inspired by Jill Greenberg's End Times series, which impacted me emotionally. I was inspired by the bombarding of parenting articles I see on a daily basis 'How to raise your child to be a: genius / a sports champion / a better singer / a better dancer / run faster / do more / be better'. I was inspired by parents comparing children, bragging about accomplishments through social media, and holding their child up for the world to see like a prize trophy. And most of all I was inspired by being a mother who is guilty of all of the above.

Let Them Be represents children at their most innocent and true state - children free from pressure and free from conformity.
